Fire Pumps
If your automatic sprinklers, wet riser or private hydrant network is fed from a stored water supply, then the fire pump, or pumps as the case may be, really are the beating heart of the system. Keeping your fire pumps in good working condition is essential to ensuring your system is ready to act if the worst happens.
The latest sprinkler rules have for the first time specified minimum service levels required for fire pumps. A check list has been compiled to help ensure all fire pumps are maintained to the highest levels.
We have partnered up with a specialist nationwide fire pump company to ensure your pumps are not only maintained well, but also compliant to the latest rules and regulations.
Not only can we offer a basic compliant service, but we can take on all types and sizes of repairs, ranging from replacement of a jockey pump to the complete refurbishment or replacement of your largest diesel pump set.
Therefore, whether you have BS9251, BS12845, BS9990, FM, NFPA approved electric or diesel driven pumps, we can provide you with the maintenance that they require.
Water Storage Tanks
The ability to fight a fire depends on a reliable source of water, whether it be taken direct from the towns' main or a stored water supply located on site. The water storage tank is quite often taken for granted and regular maintenance regimes overlooked.
Here at Staffordshire Fire Services, we have partnered up with one of the UK's largest independent water storage tank companies to provide you with a range of services to keep your tank, and therefore sprinkler system, in full working condition, as well as compliant to the rules.
We offer a full range of surveys to comply with 3 or 10 year tank inspection requirements; We are able to inspect fully drained tanks, but the majority of our clients and their insurers prefer us to use a submersible ROV camera to inspect the internal aspects of their sprinkler tanks, as this allows them to keep their systems live throughout the inspection.
Following either inspection method, you will receive a detailed survey report including photographic evidence of our findings, and a list of recommended remedial actions. Whats' more, you will not need to go anywhere else for further works as our partners are qualified to undertake any tank related jobs no matter how large or small.
